Potosi Mint, Dated 1617, Phillip IIIRare full dated 2 Reales with a nice full cross. All lions and castles visible in the cross quadrants. Sharp struck, front and reverse - full shield. Grade 2+. The date 1617 is clearly visible on the top of the coin, but due to the coin's obscure shape, the date and edges have been partially covered by the thick bezel in order to secure the coin. Dated cobs are very collectible and rare finds from the Atocha, especially fully dated 2 Reales. A very desirable dated coin set in a custom 18k yellow gold bezel weighing 9.1 grams with 2.23 cts of Black Diamonds. From the Atocha, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida, with original photo type Fisher Certificate of Authenticity and Tag are included #85A-181779.
